“Jakarta International Jewellery Fair 2025: Celebrating Indonesia’s Cultural Heritage in Modern Jewellery Designs”

The 16th Jakarta International Jewellery Fair (JIJF) was held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Jakarta. This event showcased jewellery designs inspired by Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage, aiming to promote jewellery products that combine ethnic elements with modern technology.

Iskandar Husin, Secretary General of the Indonesian Gold and Gemstone Entrepreneurs Association, stated that this exhibition is crucial for developing the creative industry, attracting investment, and boosting the jewellery trade in Indonesia. Additionally, the event is expected to create more job opportunities in the sector.

The 16th JIJF was joined by over 100 participants, including artisans, designers, and jewellery manufacturers from both domestic and international markets. This event also provides an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to expand their market and increase sales of their creative jewellery products.

Visitors to the exhibition can enjoy high-quality jewellery products at competitive prices, while also expanding their knowledge about the latest technology, current designs, and ethnic characteristics presented by Indonesian artisans.

“The public is more familiar with bad design than good design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer bad design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring.”
